Audience Award! Vote for your favourite short film at the end of the screening.
1. Farah (Dir: Alissa Jung, Germany, 2024) - A girl from Germany and a girl from Syria learn to stand up for themselves, and for others, through their friendship.
2. A New Garden (Dir: Lea Marie Lembke, Germany, 2024) - Twelve-year-old Luca steals away from her family and the daily struggle with her autistic sister. While wandering through her new neighbourhood, she befriends a girl from a farm and pins all her hopes on this new friendship.
3. Amarela (Dir: André Hayato Saito, Brazil, 2024) - On the day of the World Cup final between Brazil and France, Erika Oguihara, a Japanese Brazilian teenager who rejects her family traditions, experiences a violence that seems invisible and plunges her into a painful sea of emotions.
4. Cura Sana (Dir: Lucía G. Romero, Spain, 2024) - Jessica and Alma, two sisters in a situation of domestic violence, will begin to treat each other with love instead of violence during one of their routine trips to the food stamp office on the night of San Juan, a Spanish holiday.
5. Punter (Dir: Jason Adam Maselle, South Africa and USA, 2024) - Young Brett must navigate the underbelly of the Johannesburg gambling world as a seemingly harmless horse racing bet jeopardises the surprise he’s prepared for his Father’s birthday.
