The Distortion Project presents this milestone performance by longstanding cult stoner-groove rockers SKYPILOT. 200 gigs is a remarkable achievement and the band have gone from strength to strength during their impressive 23 year history. From countless tours, premier league support slots and career defining performances in the Ulster Hall, Desertfest and the Bloodstock Festival (twice) Skypilot have always given 110%, never failing to deliver the goods on stage. All this with the same line-up throughout!
Some come and join us on Saturday 19th April in VOODOO BELFAST and witness history in the making. Support comes from Alt metal upcomers that are full of aul lads ;) SOLOTHURN.
The band comments:
200 shows may not seem like much for a band with Skypilot's lifespan, but when you consider families, jobs, careers, mortgages, bills and everything else life can lead to, we've done well to cram so much in and keep going. Even when all logic and common sense has been yelling 'Stop!', we have continued and done our best to make it work, because we love it, and not doing it is definitely the worse option. With that in mind, we hope everyone will come out and celebrate with us at our 200th show as it is not just for us, it is for everyone who has ever supported us, played with us and listened to our music.
