Event information
Independent bookshops and council run libraries are all connected by their desire to 'reach readers' and celebrate the written word in all its guises. Bude Lit Fest thought it would be inspiring, informative and fun to bring together the proprietors of regional indie bookshops with staff from Bude Library, to share the highs, lows and future aspirations of those who live and breathe books.
Sharing their stories after many years living life in the book lane, are Chris Pringle of Spencer Thorn Bookshop, Bude, Andrew Davey of The Bookery, Crediton, Dan & Ron Johns from Padstow Bookseller and Sally Travers-Clapp and a colleague from Bude Library. It promises to be a lively and entertaining conversation, hosted by national print journalist, Natasha Harding.
This event takes place in The Ivor Potter Hall at The Parkhouse Centre. The bar will be open throughout and hot drinks and cakes also available.
Unreserved seating. Duration: 75 mins. Ends at 4.45pm
