Mark and David are singing, song-writing, strumming and swigging buddies from the badlands of the Cheshire Plain.
They have played across the UK at various venues and festivals and have also performed in Spain and Portugal.
Mark Radcliffe, once half of legendary radio double-act Mark and Lard, has been on the national airwaves since the early nineties and currently hosts the Radio 2 Folk Show and weekend breakfast on 6Music with Stuart Maconie.
He was the leader of folk-rock bands The Family Mahone and Galleon Blast and has also written five bestselling books about music.
His next publication is ‘Et tu, cavapoo – one man and his dog in Rome’ which he has co-authored with his canine companion Arlo.
David Boardman is a consummate guitarist and guitar teacher who cut his teeth on the rock circuit with Darktown Jubilee touring not only the UK but also North America and Canada.
A gifted visual artist, Boardman met Radcliffe in their hometown of Knutsford where their writing partnership soon began to flourish.
They also compose songs for David’s Americana band Fine Lines.
Their act is one of classic simplicity: two voices, two guitars, some great original songs, the odd carefully chosen cover and the occasional rambling anecdote.
Their debut album ‘First Light’ is now followed up by their sophomore release ‘Hearsay and Heresy’ on which they have somehow managed to hit the sweet spot between David wanting to do dozens of takes before carefully selecting the best bits and Mark thinking it was alright the first time!

3 x CMAA ‘Golden Guitar’, 2 x Australian Folk Music and Music Victoria Award winners, The Weeping Willows (Laura Coates and Andrew Wrigglesworth) are a couple of old souls, steeped in Bluegrass tradition and draped in Gothic Americana imagery.
They regale their audiences with stories of sunshine and romance, God and The Devil, murder and decay.
Real music.
