Event information
Of course Storytellers ALWAYS tell the truth... The Feast of Fools holds its annual fiercely fought contest for the right to wear the famous Crown of Mendacity.
The first half of the evening sees a selection of well-told 10 minute stories from our team of tellers.
After the interval we proudly present the Lying Contest: as many as will each telling rigorously timed 5 minute tales which must start credibly, but take off into pure mendacity, the aim being that you can't spot the join.
Audience voting is assisted by a referee, and between them their decision is truly final.
We already have entries, more are invited. We'd honestly love to have some new voices! And while the tension mounts, the audience is always supportive, so if it's your first time, fear not! Please contact us.
As usual, we'll meet at 7.00 for 7.30 in the truly beautiful Quaker Meeting House, as usual the cakes will be truly lovely, the raffle prizes truly remarkable, the company truly friendly and welcoming.
And we do mean that!
