Event information

In ancient Greece, poems were accompanied by lyres, and in the middle ages, the troubadours' 'sung poetry' spread throughout Europe. In this one hour concert Sarah will explore centuries of words and music blending together, starting with her song settings for voice and harp of Medieval texts, and including her settings by Thomas Hardy, William Barnes, Robert Burns, Laurie Lee and others - she'll bring alive the rhyme, rhythm and emotion of both poetry and song in a relaxing and joyful musical celebration.
Unreserved seating.
Duration: 1 hour
Drinks and snacks available at The Outside Inn (in The Parkhouse Centre)
