When it comes to empathy this duet of guitar virtuosi comes close to perfection. Pete Oxley & Nicolas Meier’s roots lie in jazz, but they cover a whole bunch of genres, Latin, Middle Eastern, English pastoral and their own brand of simply music. I can hear, too, a bewildering variety of guitars, both electric and acoustic.

This gig features Pete Oxley, alongside his long-term guitar brother, Nicolas Meier, playing the broadest range of guitar stylings in a set of “utterly captivating original music” (The Guardian).

Oxley-Meier have recorded 7 CDs together and have performed literally hundreds of concerts across the UK and Europe – including sell-outs at such diverse venues as Ronnie Scott’s, The Wigmore Hall, Musicport World Music Festival and the Cambridge Folk Festival!

Pete Oxley is well known for his lyrical, compelling compositions; he is one of only a handful of British composers to have pieces included in one of Sher Music’s world-famous ‘Real Books’.

Nicolas Meier is one of the most original and brilliant guitarists on the planet (which is why Jeff Beck hired him to be in his band for 3 years of world touring!). Aside from his general virtuosity, he is one of the best exponents of fretless guitar playing anywhere.
