Iamthemorning is a chamber progressive rock project led by singer Marjana Semkina and classical pianist Gleb Kolyadin, originated in Russia and now based in the UK. The band emerged in the early 2010s with a sound that fused classical, rock, jazz, folk and electronic influences. Since debuting in 2012, the duo has won numerous awards and garnered international acclaim.; their third studio album ‘Lighthouse’ won Album of the Year at the 2016 Progressive Music Awards.
While Semkina and Kolyadin are the only official members of the group, they often bring in accompanists for their recording and performing projects, incorporating instruments such as guitar, bass, drums, string quartets, and various wind instruments, with collaborators including notable musicians such as Gavin Harrison, Colin Edwin, Nick Beggs, Mariusz Duda and many more.
Iamthemorning have supported many major bands such as Riverside, Árstíðir, and Gazpacho; in 2023 they accompanied Marillion on their European tour, and toured with the Swiss progressive metal band Cellar Darling, including a collaborative project with them under the name MAER.
THE CAMDEN CLUB is one of London's newest and most exciting venues (opposite The Roundhouse in Camden/Chalk Farm). Cabaret-style seating with gourmet 'Burger Bites' table service - please support the venue by buying food and drinks as this keeps venue hire prices down, enabling bands to play here. Tables are unreserved; get here early for the best in the house!
Entrance is via a flight of steps up from street level and then a flight of steps down to floor level. Please contact the organisers if you need to use the accessible (step-free) entrance.
