“The highly anticipated first outing of this trio”
We are delighted to invite these spectacular musicians, all at the forefront of their respective sounds, to perform 2 sets of collaborative and exciting music.
Not one to be missed!!
Koller started playing in bands with saxophonist Stan Sulzmann and trumpeter Chris Batchelor and went on to form his own group, Neverland, with bass player Dave Whitford, saxophonist Rob Townsend and drummer Stuart Laurence. This group was augmented into a nine-piece outfit for Koller’s début album Magic Mountain (1997), which established him as one of the leading new jazz composers in the UK. Three years later he won the JOEY award for composers organised by Eastern Arts, and subsequently was awarded major commissions by Birmingham Jazz and by the Freden International Music Festival.
Sacha Harlan, a London-based drummer and composer, has rapidly become one of the most sought-after players in the UK’s burgeoning new wave of jazz musicians. His talent and unique voice have propelled him to the forefront of the jazz scene, garnering recognition from established artists and audiences alike.
From captivating audiences at iconic venues like The Vortex and 606 club, to sharing the spotlight with luminaries such as Hans Koller, Tom Challenger, Byron Wallen, and Rachael Cohen, Kobe has navigated scene with a passion to learn.
Today, Kobe stands at the beginning of a new chapter, armed with a wealth of experience, a spirit destined for exploration, and a burning desire to push the boundaries of their art.
