Event information
Live stand-up comedy in the heart of Stockport! This month with:
Annette Fagon is loud, engaging and a fan of having a good old-fashioned moan (as a backup for the therapy that is no longer affordable or available to her). Annette never fails to wow the audience with her brutal honesty and hilarious truths, and with training in theatre, dance and broadcasting amongst her many skills, Annette‘s performances are a unique experience! As seen and heard on BBC Three, BBC Radio 2, BBC 1Xtra.
“She's just like Peter Kay would be - well, if he were female, black and from Leicester” – Chortle

Jain Edwards is a joyously inventive comedian, actor and writer. It’s hard to pin down a useful description of her style, but she’s been described as a ’hugely talented and subversive comic’ and a ‘cult comedy legend’. Jain appeared in BBC’s ‘Laugh Lessons’ and also starred in the award-winning online sitcom ‘Don’t Overthink It’.
“Sheer ridiculousness...a unique comic” – The Skinny
“Pleasingly offbeat” – The Guardian
----------
Mike Carter is fast becoming in demand at all the major clubs. Combining classic Scouse wit with contemporary observations of post-Uni life and pop culture, Mike wins over audiences with warm-hearted delivery of wry jabs. A rare two-time King Gong winner, Mike was also finalist in the Liverpool Echo & XS Radio Manchester New Comedian Competitions.
“One of my favourites of the new comedians on the circuit” - Steffen Peddie BBC Radio
“See him now before you need to pay big money!“- Smacked Arse Comedy
----------
Danny Sutcliffe is your compère for the evening. Seen most recently on the big screen in the film ‘Mr Doom: Behind The 8-Ball’ – now available on all good streaming services – he's also a thoroughly lovely fella who lists standing on sheds and flipping tables among his many anti-social hobbies.
“Dazzles with his mix of surreal and observational gags. A manic, unruly energy belies a great writing talent” – The Skinny

We always like to promote new talent at A Laugh In Stockport and this month we welcome Kyle Burnham in our middle section try-out spot.
