Event information

After 4 sold out shows at PizzaExpress Jazz Club and Hoxton Hall, Jazz Sabbath return to London on August 6th for a small, intimate show at Piano Smithfield.

Jazz Sabbath plays new jazz arrangements of Black Sabbath songs, although they present themselves as a jazz trio formed in 1968 - and the original writers of the tracks later made famous by Black Sabbath.

Helmed by pianist Adam Wakeman (Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne), they explore the boundaries between jazz and the songs that defined heavy metal. Echoing already present jazz riffs and discovering new ones.

Whether you choose to believe their backstory or not, with three albums high in the Billboard Jazz Chart, sold out shows worldwide and rave reviews from both the jazz and the rock media, the trio is quickly making its way (back) to the top of the jazz scene.

'I'm really loving this' - Ozzy Osbourne
'Amazing interpretations' - Tony Iommi
'Surprisingly superb' – Jazz Journal
'A roaring success' – Jazzwise Magazine
'Never has heavy metal been so groovy' – MetalTalk
