Thursday 8th May 2025 marks the 80 th anniversary of VE
Day.

Join as at The Trades Hall for a screening of For
Queen And Country, the remarkable true story of Major
Denis Rake MC. Denis was recruited by Churchill’s
Special Operations Executive to spy on the Nazi’s. In
drag!

Walthamstow writer Paul Stone will be on hand for a Q&A
session on the award-winning film , followed by wartime
cabaret with local favourites Ray and Jonny, along with
a few familiar surprise guests!

40’s dress is encouraged but not compulsory!
