Event information
Our last comedy night before the summer break is starting a little earlier! Comics will be on from 8 pm, and we're open from 6 pm so you can grab a good seat.
This time, we have the amazing Ignacio Lopez, a Spanish-Welsh comedian based in Cardiff. His family background includes Spanish, Welsh, Irish, Moroccan, and German heritage—family get-togethers are like a meeting of the U.N.
Branded Spain’s Best Export by the Spanish Embassy and Office of Culture in the UK, Ignacio has appeared on TV shows including Live At The Apollo, Have I Got News For You, Comedy Central Live, and more.
As well as hosting on TV, headlining top comedy clubs across the UK and Europe, and taking the piss out of British people directly to their faces, Ignacio writes sketches, sitcoms, and used to tweet a lot. Every few months, one of his tweets would go viral, gaining him thousands of new followers—until they realized he doesn’t just post witty observations about public transport and songs about hating the UK. Then they unfollow… until the next tweet goes viral. The fickle bastards.
Having performed for the Wales football squad, opened for James Dean Bradfield of Manic Street Preachers, entertained the military, and hosted comedy and corporate events around the world, Ignacio’s videos have amassed over 100 million views online (at last count—probably this morning).
Also on the lineup is Adam Staunton, a Scouse funnyman with a confident and commanding stage presence. Adam has performed alongside some of the biggest names in comedy, including John Bishop and Sarah Millican. Definitely one to watch!
Hosting the night is MC Cameron Jones, keeping the energy high and the laughs coming. Plus, we’ll have some local supporting acts, to be confirmed on the night.
