Making his debut at the Crawdaddy Club, The Neil Sadler Band, a dynamic blues and rock trio from North Devon, is led by the critically acclaimed performer Neil Sadler. Their performances feature a compelling mix of original compositions and reimagined blues classics, delivering a show that’s both foot-stomping and dance-worthy, appealing to blues aficionados and live music enthusiasts alike.
Neil’s musical journey began at the age of eight with his first acoustic guitar. Inspired by legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, he delved into the realms of Rock, Blues, and R&B. By fourteen, Neil was already experimenting with recording, laying the foundation for a lifelong passion. Over the years, he has collaborated with esteemed songwriters and composers, including Guy Fletcher, Doug Flett, and Don Black OBE. For three decades, Neil owned and operated No Machine Studios, earning a stellar reputation for his patience and ability to capture the desired sound for artists across various genres.
In June 2024, Neil released his solo album, ‘Past to Present,’ which garnered significant acclaim. The album was voted Album of the Month by the UK Independent Blues Broadcasters Association (IBBA) and reached No. 1 in their Most Played Album Chart of 2024. In January 2025, the UK Blues Federation recognised Neil’s contributions to the genre by nominating him in two categories: UK Blues Traditional Artist of The Year and UK Blues Album of the Year for ‘Past to Present.’ The album continues to receive international airplay on blues and rock radio shows.
The band’s lineup features Neil Sadler on lead guitar and vocals, Ray Barwell on drums, and Kev Langman on bass guitar. Together, they deliver powerful performances that showcase Neil’s superb songwriting and guitar improvisation, complemented by Ray’s dynamic drumming and Kev’s driving bass lines. Their setlist includes original songs from ‘Past to Present’ and classics by blues legends such as Willie Dixon, Robert Johnson, Memphis Minnie, and Jimi Hendrix, all played in the band’s distinctive style.
The Crawdaddy Club, with its rich history of hosting legendary acts like The Rolling Stones and The Yardbirds, provides an iconic backdrop for The Neil Sadler Band’s performance. Attendees can anticipate an electrifying evening that bridges the gap between traditional blues roots and contemporary interpretations, honouring the club’s storied legacy while showcasing the band’s unique artistry.
