Event information
a study day where researchers and historians will explore the historical background to the events of 1588. The day will end with a screening of the film The Armada Chronicle set in Southampton in 1588.
Speakers include John McAleer from the University of Southampton, Josh Harper from the Mary Rose Museum, Di Budden from the Jenner Trust, Cheryl Butler from Southampton Records Series, & Maria Grove-Gordillo from the University of Bamberg. There will be an exhibition and book stall. Attendees will get a free copy of the book Theatre of the World. Lunch included. Early bird discount till 1st July.
