TRUPA TRUPA
Trupa Trupa is psychedelic post punk band from Gdańsk, Poland. According to Metro, they are combining post-punk and psych with skill. “The Beatles sing Joy Division oversimplifies them but doesn’t misrepresent them”. According to The Guardian, “the band’s music blends off-kilter melodies, dense instrumentation and lyrical explorations of the darkest side of the human condition”. The Times compares them to Sonic Youth, Radiohead and the Manchester scene in the 80s. According to Mojo, their “gripping and energetic record packs a serious punch”. KEXP highlights “ominous guitars, stern rhythms and haunting melodies” and The Quietus agrees. As Pitchfork describes, “Trupa Trupa are the rare dystopian post-punk band to embrace optimism and levity as necessary survival mechanisms. They may not have the perfect prescription for a better world, but they welcome you to imagine one together”.
On February 21st 2025, the band released the album ”Mourners”, produced by Nick Launay (Nick Cave, Idles, Amy and The Sniffers). Released by Glitterbeat Records, the album has been met with critical acclaim, with praise from The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Brooklyn Vegan, BBC, to name just a few.
"Trupa Trupa look to confront evil. This is a very strong band."
Iggy Pop, BBC Radio 6 Music
"The first album was great, but this one, I just think, is even better."
Henry Rollins, KCRW
"The Polish band’s latest shows that they don’t make protest music so much as process music, indulging the ugliest aspects of post-punk and post-hardcore as a means to protect what’s good and beautiful in this world."
Stuart Berman, Pitchfork

FLIGHTS OF HELIOS
Flights of Helios swim the bright fertile waters of indie maximalism (Arcade Fire, Grizzly Bear, Jeff Buckley, Echo and The Bunnymen, Wild Beasts), while weirder currents creep in from the depths (Swans, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, The Velvet Underground, King Crimson). The band have played BBC Introducing at Glastonbury, Wilderness and Truck festivals, and been aired on BBC 6 Music by Steve Lamacq, Gideon Coe and Don Letts. In recent years they've supported Caroline, Acid Mothers Temple, and Tara Clerkin Trio, and members have been blessed to play in Damo Suzuki's Sound Carriers. Flights of Helios' discography includes full-length album 'Endings'(2018) and ten singles.

PAUL LODGE
Professor at Oxford University making music of a philosophical nature. Informed by his lifelong engagement with philosophy and literature, Paul Lodge sings from the same place of mystery and wonder as Bob Dylan, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, and Joanna Newsom. Paul’s music has been featured on BBC Radio Oxford Introducing and BBC Radio Cumbria.
“Listening to Paul Lodge reconciled me to Bob Dylan being given the Nobel prize. I did get it before, but what he did with Wordsworth helped me grasp something else.”
Ben Okri, Booker Prize-winning author and poet
