Event information
After two thrilling UK tours in 2024, including joyous shows at Wickham Festival, Truck Festival and Maverick Festival, Annie is bringing her sublime alt-country Americana back to the UK with her blistering UK band. BBC’s Bob Harris frequently champions Annie’s music on his BBC Radio 2 Country show, on which Annie has made several guest appearances. Bob, who described Keating’s songs as “Wonderful, heartfelt and real” has booked Annie for two of his prestigious ‘Under the Apple Tress Sessions’ and even held a private house concert while she was here last year!
A staple of the contemporary Americana scene, Annie Keating writes and sings like a woman who knows deep down that heartache is the price of hope, and she can make us believe, in a way that only the best artists can, that all of it is worth the cost.
When two of the ACE Space trustees saw Annie at The Forge last year she was accompinied by her British band of Joe Coombs on electric/acoustic/slide guitars, Scott Warman on double/electric bass plus Jamie Dawson on drums. A superb group of musicians who also impressed when they toured with Carter Sampson when she came to ACE Space in March 2025.
Opening the evening will be 'She´s In The Trees', who are an alt-folk band hailing from Liverpool. Described as “haunting and ethereal” by their Madrid based label. Their sound is dreamy and atmospheric; wistful; emotive and highly melodic. Amy’s songwriting is inspired by the British and American folk music she grew up listening to, a passion for storytelling and a fascination with the host of intriguing characters, misfits & outcasts she has met during a lifetime of travelling.
