This show celebrates the art of live storytelling fusing a unique blend of Urban Hip Hop and classical South Asian sounds. Together, Peter and PKCtheFirst present a unique audience experience which bridges cultures and generations.

Join favourite spoken word poet Maggie Pollard, the director of Leek Loves Books Sam Hatton, and published writer and local director of Artificial Silk A.T. Boyle for the premiere of her audio play Om, Pom, Pom.
Running just before Indian storyteller Peter Chand takes the stage, this 30-minute show is set in a decaying seaside B&B that has seen plenty of life and laughs over the years.
An excerpt from a longer play, Om, Pom, Pom is at once funny, reflective, romantic, nostalgic and uplifting.
Expect to know some of the oldies we sing and be ready to join in. Audience participation is heartily welcomed.
We are thrilled to have a visitor to Leek from India, Smita Tharoor. Creator of the popular podcast Stories Seldom Told, she asks guests from around the world to reflect on times when a snap judgement has affected their life experiences. Smita will interview contributors to the Writing That Sings project about how they have reflected on their life experiences in creative and uplifting ways in 2025.
This short interview will be followed by a short film about the musical memories of residents at the Daisy Haye care home in Leek, interviewed by students from The Meadows School as part of their communication development.
