A stellar company of jazz musicians come together to perform a musical tribute to the jazz composer and pianist Abdullah Ibrahim. Experience a celebration of this unique South African pianists unique style and musical voice with performances of his classic standards, plus interpretations and new arrangements his music. Pianist Joss Peach takes the role of Ibrahim for this performance. The band is fronted by Mark Bassey (trombone) and Alex Bondonno (saxophone) who will lead the audience through the musical story of Ibrahim's life from the streets of Cape Town to his role in the fight against apartheid, and journey to becoming a world renowned jazz musician.
