The Gimme A Break Album Release Tour

Born in London and raised in the US, Katy Hurt was drawn to the sounds of Country, Americana and Southern rock from a young age, inspired by artists such as Bonnie Raitt, Sheryl Crow, The Eagles and Patsy Cline.
Katy has released a string of critically acclaimed singles and EPs, showcasing her versatile range and has won accolades such as the UK Country Music Spotlight Awards for Female Vocalist of the Year, Best EP, Best Song and Best Video. She has also toured extensively, playing major festivals such as Country 2 Country at the O2 Arena, Pilton Party on Glastonbury’s famed Pyramid Stage and the Isle of Wight festival. Most recently her single “Face to Face” was featured in the movie “Slingshot” starring Casey Affleck and Laurence Fishburne.
She spent time in Canada, which she now considers her second home, writing and recording a host of songs including some of her singles “Sounds Good In A Bar” and “Wish I Could Give You Up”, which both went to Number 1 on the UK iTunes charts on the day of release and were subsequently added to rotation on CBC, Sirius XM, KIX Australia and were play-listed on Amazon Music.
The tracks which were produced by Juno Award-winning producer Murray Pulver (Doc Walker, The Bros. Landreth) come from her highly anticipated debut album, which has just been announced for release on May 23rd.

` Located on Oldham Street in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, The Castle Hotel is a prestigious, lively and popular bar with a long history dating all the way back to 1776. Over the course of a century the pub changed name several times, trading first as The Crown and Sceptre, then The Crown and Anchor and later The Clock Face. In the late nineteenth century, the pub was acquired by Kay’s Atlas Brewery and started a new chapter as The Castle Hotel and then, in the early 1930s, Frederic Robinson took over Kay’s Atlas Brewery and, consequently, The Castle Hotel. But there’s much more to The Castle than just a lively city centre pub; in 2010 the music hall was unveiled – an 80 capacity live music venue and performance space which has since firmly cemented The Castle Hotel as one of the cornerstones of Manchester’s live music scene.
