Join instrumental guitar supremo Toby Hay in the intimate surroundings of Parc Arts in Trefforest on Saturday July 5th 2025 where the folk stalwart will be performing excerpts from his brand new album, 'New Music For The 6 String Guitar', alongside selected works from his previous releases.
A composer fascinated by the connection between landscape and music, Toby is inspired by the landscape of the Cambrian Mountains, and the connection between improvisation and composition. He has toured the UK & Ireland both as a solo artist and in the form of various collaborations, and is the founder of the independent label Cambrian Records.

‘New Music for the 6 String Guitar’ is the seventh studio album from Radnorshire based guitarist Toby Hay. His 2017 debut ‘The Gathering’ and 2018's ‘The Longest Day’ were both nominated for the Welsh Music Prize. This latest album follows 2019’s ‘New Music For The 12 String Guitar’. Since then, Hay has released two collaborative albums, 2023’s self-titled ‘Jim Ghedi & Toby Hay’ released via the legendary Topic label, and 2024’s ‘After A Pause’ with Aidan Thorne, released on his own label, Cambrian Records.
