Event information

A rare opportunity to see a storytelling-theatre performance by award-winning playwright Áine King, with live music from Karen Tweed and Antony Hodgson. This one-woman show lifts the suitcase-lid on a bundle of travelers' tales in the busy Scottish tourist season. It was a sell-out success at London's Union Theatre in Jan 2025. Archie from Canada is looking for his ancestry but keeps losing the biscuit tin holding his grandfather’s ashes. Lynda from Sydney is looking for Outlander-style romance, her uncle’s Celtic brooch pinned to her Jacobite costume. Londoner Davy is looking for a story to write on his granny’s old vintage typewriter. Only the audience know that these people and objects are all connected. Is fate about to reunite them all?
Funny, sad and true; an extraordinary story spanning a century and celebrating ordinary people whose lives were lost in bigger events.
70 mins. Suitable for ages 10 and over.
