Once they’ve gone, they’ve gone!
A unique and intimate gig from this new outfit celebrating the joyous music of Ernest Ranglin.
Ranglin’ is a quartet raising a musical salute to the great jazz guitarist, without a doubt the most accomplished Jamaican musician most people have never heard of.
Expect reggae-jazz-calypso-funk grooves rooted down with iconic dub bass lines, topped off with classy jazz guitar & keyboard improvisations.
We are super excited to play for you lucky few in this vibing new venue on the Cowley Road. Tickets are limited so get yours now! There will be a bar run by the wonderful hosts Danny and Ollie.
This new collaboration between Dave Noble (guitar) Nat Woodcock (keys) Ryan Quarterman (double bass) and Tobias Sonrisa Sturmer (drums) aims at broadening the acclaim of a true giant in Jazz.
Sadly our special guest AJ Asher Dust can’t make this one but there will be magic afoot no doubt!
Ranglin’ will keep you on your dancing toes, with no two shows the same. The quartet heat up Ernest Ranglin’s classic album ‘Below the Bassline’, with their own improvisational spark.
Please note: the bar is serving soft drinks only, no alcohol, but it is licenced to bring your own booze. There are plenty off licences near by!
