QTIBPOC Cinema Club and Stand & Be Counted Theatre invite you to an evening of queering and decolonising Arabic dance alongside a sharing of Shrouk Al- Attar’s ‘Dancing Queer’.
Explore the world of dance with Shrouk as she merges her experience as a drag king, belly dancer, engineer and queer refugee in this scratch performance of 'Dancing Queer'- a theatrical show in development.
Keep the party going with a set from DJ Atrialia (She/Her): a queer Arab trailblazer amplifying the pulse of queer Arabic sounds in London. As one of the few openly queer femme DJs from the Arab world, her music is more than a setlist, it is a manifesto. A bold assertion of identity, freedom and community, her performances blend hypnotic rhythms, bass-heavy grooves and electrifying SWANA beats, crafting a sonic expression of the Western queer Arab diaspora experience.
