Event information
Two of the UK’s foremost exponents of jazz piano will join forces for this special two piano concert to celebrate the centenary of the legendary Oscar Peterson. Both are heavily influenced by Peterson and have performed his music for many years, running their own trios and quartets.
The concert with feature Oscar’s compositions including music from the Canadiana suite, Night Train, We Get Requests and many more. Craig recorded his tribute to Oscar in 2007, receiving top reviews and appearances at Brecon Jazz Festival, Swanage, Pizza Express and Ronnie Scott’s. Stockdale’s ‘Celebrating Oscar’ album was recorded in 2023 and was followed by a UK tour of 25 dates including shows in London, Paris and a number of major festivals.
Together with John Donelly bass and Coach York drums, this is a concert for anyone who loves swinging jazz piano at the at highest level.
