Event information
Grey Muzzle & 5.18 Magazine are brimming with PRIDE to present:
London Trans Pride Afters: a party for queers, their friends and anyone who believes trans lives matter!
Performing live:
THE OOZES
Queer-Punk South-East Londoners The Oozes’ music centres trans liberation, opposing the conventional, embracing the bizarre and uplifting the oppressed.
JEMMA FREEMAN & THE COSMIC SOMETHING
Outsider, alt, psych, power trio Jemma Freeman and The Cosmic Something are the aural equivalent of a distorted photograph capturing the hinterland found between emotions and actions. Emerging like joyous sci-fi warriors, the songs either overtly or indirectly demonstrate solidarity with anyone that’s ever identified feeling off kilter with the rest of the universe and needed an equally wonky soundtrack to back it. An introspective, neurodivergent journey through psychedelic glam-rock nightmares, woozy flows of queer self-discovery and beguiling lyrics delivered with subtlety and intensity.
BREAKUP HAIRCUT
Like if the Scooby Doo gang were in a band. Formed for First Timers Fest 2019, they've been playing music, making friends and bringing their sometimes-pop-sometimes-punk stylings to stages across the country ever since!
THE DEAD ZOO
The Dead Zoo serves a free-wheeling melange of melodic sensibilities hijacked by electronic, beat-driven propulsion and a searing, guitar-fuelled sonic assault. A punchy cocktail of raw, pulsating, multi-layered soundscapes fans of the Talking Heads (and Tom Tom Club), Siouxsie and the Banshees and Sonic Youth will admire. The Dead Zoo harnesses the post- punk verve, blistering guitar noise, and queer dream poppy energy that brings crowds to their feet.
FRANKIE HEARTLESS
Sea shanties and raucous singalongs from this rambunctious gay pirate, plus an extremely special top-secret collaboration for one night only...
Hosted by MERLIN THE GREY
Plus DJS HEIDI HEELZ & ROD FIBULA spinning queer punk, glammy indie, saucy electro and more!
In addition to all this amazing entertainment there will also be stalls full of art, clothes, zines etc from Trans artists and sellers. And a RAFFLE!
All profits to TRANS LEGAL CLINIC.
Raffle and buckets collecting for Medical Aid for Palestine (MAP).
