Event information
Prepare yourself for a magical evening of nature inspired jazz and storytelling in Nottingham's most unique and intimate venue.
Red Sea play bouncy, original jazz inspired by Nature. Think Billie Holiday meets Norah Jones in a Bedouin Tent on the sun-drenched shores of the Red Sea.
Deeply inspired by the intense stillness and beauty of the Red Sea and Sinai Desert, composer James Tolhurst went on to explore Britain’s gemlike green spaces. The resulting soulful, descriptive compositions explore the relationships between people and the natural world.
Set in this beautiful creative space, Red Sea's fun, engaging storytelling and beautiful music, performed by great musicians will make this is a night to remember.
Red Sea have regularly featured on BBC Introducing and BBC Radio Nottingham and Lincolnshire.
“Love that track. Very good indeed.” Dean Jackson BBC Introducing
“Perfect song for a day like today” Verity Cowley BBC Radio Nottingham
“Beautiful, beautiful” Arun Verma BBC Radio Nottingham
“A unique blend of chilled electric guitars, female vocals and jazz of past, present and future.” – NUSIC
