Killer Kowalski - the great redeemers. We are lucky enough to have them straight back in the mixer after a scorching impromptu appearance at the last undreds night, made possible when Oxford Council cancelled their other gig. The risk assessment had come back red all over, their electric threat to the public deemed too great when combined with inclement weather. They’ll be back up to a full complement and this pack of wire haired finger pointers are back on the scent for blood.
Ahhh Uncle Peanut, a one-man tour de force & compatriot of that there Sleaford Mods. His binaural chemical peel doesn’t discriminate when it comes to evicerating society’s blemishes. He won’t let you get a word in edgeways, so I’ll let him do the talking:
“ Y’know that bloke in a queue that sneezes on yer face?
Y’know that bloke that overtakes yers just to gerrin front?
Y’know that bloke that’s gorris kids ‘n’ needs them to beat everyone else at whatever they do? Except him?
Y’know Black Friday?
Y’know Cyber Monday?
Y’know designer snobbery?
Y’know no compassion?
Y’know betterance?
Y’know nobbers. “
These days it seems that nothing sells a ticket faster than providing the opportunity to witness a group willing to publicly humiliate themselves. See Oasis. Yungblud. Limp Bizkit. The subject matter experts at NME have exclaimed “self flagellation” to be “in” this season.
Enter The Wife & Kids. They promise to bring their Michelin starred cod reggae served 3 ways, with lemon wedges & parsley to soothe your eyes and block your ears.
