A walk tracing the route of this buried river from Holloway Road to Hackney Central, discussing the social history along the way. Highlights include the site of Joe Meek's studio where many hit records were recorded before he killed his landlady and then himself, Abney Park Cemetery looking at some interesting headstones and the restored chapel from the Derelict London book, the location of Amy Winehouse's Back to Black Video, the home where Marc Bolan (then Feld) grew up, the former Highbury Stadium, and the house where Reggie Kray stabbed Jack the Hat McVitie. A 4-hour walk meeting outside Holloway Road Underground Station and finishing near Hackney Central Overground Station. Pre-walk breakfast tip: Titanic Cafe, 306 Holloway Rd, N7 6NJ

Ticket holders are responsible for their own safety while taking part in a walk. The guide is responsible for showing ticket holders sites of interest, but not to steward ticket holders across roads etc.

* The tour goes ahead regardless of the weather. No refunds due to inclement weather are given.

* The walk will depart promptly at the advertised time & will not wait for late-comers. If a ticket holder misses the walk, no refund will be given. You are strongly urged to check TFL for weekend engineering works that may affect your journey.

* Once a ticket has been purchased, the agency is unable to offer a refund or swap dates.
