From the streets of Detroit to the stage at Boisdale, the sound of soul is about to be reborn. Masterpiece delivers a full-throttle celebration of Motown’s finest with The Temptations at the very heart of it.
Crafted by four powerhouse vocalists, each with careers spanning the West End, global tours and platinum-selling records, Masterpiece is channelling the sound of Motown. With slick choreography sharper than a Cadillac tailfin and harmonies smooth enough to make Smokey Robinson blush, this group delivers "Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone", "Treat Her Like a Lady", "Get Ready", "My Girl" and more with blistering brilliance.
The Temptations were the first Motown act to win a Grammy and still hold the record for most Billboard R&B No.1s. And while the originals wore matching suits and heartbreak like crowns, Masterpiece brings that same finesse into the now – honouring the legends without impersonation, and reviving the romance, drama and sheer sonic fire that defined a generation.
