Headlined by THE ROVES.Spearheaded by brothers Tom and James Wing, The Roves have been at the forefront of an under-appreciated London scene. The guitar-fuelled rock and roll band present an extensive discography with: ‘The Roves’ (2018), ‘All Those Freaks’ (2019), ‘The Big Silver’ (2020), ’Needle Factory’ (2022), alongside multiple single releases. The Roves are not short of experience either - with a touring portfolio including the likes of Primal Scream, Nick Waterhouse and YAK in the same year, as well as many self funded tours across Europe and North America.
To understand the true nature of The Roves, we must take it back to 2019. That year had been busy and fruitful for the band. If touring with Primal Scream, Nick Waterhouse and YAK wasn’t enough, the band received a large amount of kudos from the heavy airplay they garnered on BBC Radio6 Music with the release of their El Rancho single ‘Hey Little Man’. Endorsements came from many accomplished in the industry such as Alan McGee, Gerry Love (Teenage Fanclub), Stephen Pastel, Bobby Gillespie and John Cavanagh. 2020 looked even brighter when Iggy Pop opened his radio show with the band’s latest single.
As Covid-19 hit, The Roves, like many other bands, slowed their approach. However, it didn’t stop them - 2020 welcomed ‘The Big Silver’, a four-track EP recorded during the lockdown. 2022’s ‘Needle Factory’, recorded at Abbey Road Studio 2 is the band’s show of perseverance with all material written during the pandemic.
Presently, the band have returned from a short hiatus, they are back - having just completed a new album ready to be released in 2026, many live shows in London and embarking on a French tour in June 2025.
