Event information
Concert includes 'Songs and Sonnets of Shakespeare' by George Shearing.
4pm Concert and teas followed by 6pm Choral Evensong.
It's been 10 years since the Choir visited St Michael's Church in Woburn Sands so a return visit is long overdue.
At 4pm the Singers will give a short concert of light summery music and this will be followed by tea & cakes. Then at 6pm the Choir will sing a full Choral Evensong service (which of course will be free to attend).
The main item in the concert will be 'Songs and Sonnets of Shakespeare' – George Shearing's jazzy settings of words from Shakespeare.
