An evening of rhythm, resonance, and raw poetic energy — Queertopia is a poetry slam open to all voices, raising funds in support of the transgender community.

This is a classic-format slam with no pre-set lineup - sign up now with a performer ticket to compete in three rounds of wordplay, truth-telling, and lyrical fire. Whether you're an experienced poet or new to the mic, this is your chance to share your work in a supportive and welcoming space where the poem comes first.

💬 Open to All
This slam is open to trans poets, cis allies, and everyone in between. If you’ve got something to say, we want to hear it. All styles welcome — from spoken word to lyrical verse, page poetry to performance.

🌱 Optional theme: Community
Poets are invited (but not required) to explore the theme of community — the spaces we build, the people who hold us, and the poetry that connects us.

Guiding the night is Jay Woods — Dreading Grand Slam Champion and National Grand Slam Finalist — known for his electric stage presence and love of lyrical language.

✨ Non-Competitive Open Mic
Not into scoring? We’ll also have a couple of open mic slots for poets who want to share without competing. First come, first served on the night.

🎟️ Entry: £5 ticket. Plus additional donations welcome.
All proceeds go to Transpire, supporting trans individuals through community-based initiatives and resources.
