Event information
A fantastic Saturday night of REBEL CHICHA, Imperio Bamba's original take on the exciting and traditional Peruvian chicha, infused with psychedelic rock guitars, synths and hypnotic rhythms like cumbia, salsa and merengue, with support in the form of highlife guitars, reggae and folk with the brilliant Planetman!
Born from migrational nostalgia in North London, IB creates a ritual for liberating the body from the sense of distance, pushing for togetherness. At the band's heart are its leading duo Jules Drade (Perú) and Javiera Limarí (Chile), collaborating with Titi Damasso and Mariel Cámara (Argentina). They have released an EP and a critically acclaimed video of the classic 'My Favourite Things', and are currently working on their first studio album.
Support on the night comes from Planetman, blending highlife guitars and reggae with earnest folk and brightly soulful vocals. A founding member of iconic London venue Passing Clouds, his monthly Little Blue Ball parties spanned over a decade, legendary for their eclectic mix of music, people and sky-high vibes.
Jamboree food option: Our ‘Zer’ kitchen is open from 5pm serving delicious Middle Eastern fusion food for you to enjoy a pre-gig meal/snack if you wish!
