Steve Ray, from south Carolina is a member of the 6 time Grammy award winning , Grammy Lifetime Achievement award winners the Blind Boys of Alabama as well as Robert Randolph and the family Band. Defining his unique genre as ‘blackgrass Brothercana’ -which oozes elements of country, blues, soul, folk and jazz - he is on the brink of being a household name in the USA as is appearing in the current series of America’s Got Talent. His musical talents include banjo, Dobro, piano, Hammond organ, lead guitar, bass guitar, accordion, spoons, and the harmonica. He is now setting out on his own musical journey, on a mission to keep the ‘blues, funk, pop, soul and rock n roll’ alive.
