Singer-Songwriter Vanessa Forero & full band will be touring the UK this summer to celebrate the release of Forero's debut album: 'Days Before', bringing you an evening of uplifting soul/folk with a touch of old-school gospel, full harmonies & big melodies.
Forero grew up in a mega-church, where she was lead pianist for years. In later years, rejecting it all & ripping down every belief & chain, the piano went down with the ship too; leading her to folk'ing around on the acoustic for years - trying to outrun the hymns.
Now: "This is my shameless record," she says, finally making her peace with the ivories & the roof-raising gospel she was raised amongst. "I'm bored trying to be cool, I'm more interested in being free these days. So this is me, owning my past, and it comes in the shape of this album."
Come & hear Forero's new collection of full-coloured songs, along with stories from those 'days before' and her journey out & up into a Colombian jungle mountain, where she lives today.
