Event information
Among the initiated, we know the truth: speaker cables and noise isolation accessories can make a remarkable difference to the performance of a Hi-Fi or Home Cinema system. But there are still those who insist that all cables are created equal—that the science and engineering behind cable technology is little more than snake oil.
We know that isn’t the case. And this event is your opportunity to experience it for yourself.
Join Audio T Southampton and Chord Company for an afternoon of demonstration and discussion that explores the sonic impact of high-performance cabling and accessories—from accessible upgrades to reference-grade designs. Using a superbly matched system featuring the Auralic Aries G2.2 streamer, Chord Electronics DAVE DAC, Ultima Pre 3 and Ultima 6 amplification, and Acoustic Energy Corinium loudspeakers, we’ll guide you through what happens when you introduce different tiers of Chord Company cables, including the EpicX, Signature, and Sarum T ranges.
We’ll also be taking a closer look at the Chord PhonoAray and the English Electric EE1+ Network Isolator—accessories designed to reduce interference and clean up signal paths, delivering audible improvements even in already well-optimised systems.
Each session will be led by Ian from Chord Company and includes a 40-minute guided presentation followed by 20 minutes for questions and open discussion.
Refreshments will be provided for all who attend, and the setting—Romsey Golf Club—offers a comfortable, relaxed environment in which to listen, learn, and chat with fellow enthusiasts.
