A Triumphant Return - Following the buzz generated by their evocative single Car Crash Lovers released last February, indie rockers French Dogs are back on May 14th with a fresh new offering, A Day So Long. The track continues to showcase the band’s signature blend of classic indie rock energy with a distinctive canine twist and an indefinable je ne sais quoi that sets them apart in the bubbling 2025 UK indie scene.

Signature Indie Anthem - A Day So Long is a quintessential indie floor-filler, combining early oasis-esque wall of sound guitar arpeggios and addictive narrative-driven vocals that have become the hallmark of French Dogs’ sound. Drawing comparisons to the likes of The Libertines and Fontaines D.C., the track balances raw, old-school guitar work with a rhythm section delivering a compelling and infectious groove guaranteed to resonate with both longtime fans and newcomers alike.

Refined Production and Artistic Growth - The single was recorded with an eye toward refining the band’s already potent sonic identity, building on the progress made during their War Child Sessions. Guitarist and co-songwriter Will Calnan describes the band’s music as “songs from the life, songs from the strife,” reflecting a blend of youthful exuberance and introspective storytelling.

Debut EP Announcement - In addition to A Day So Long, French Dogs are thrilled to announce the upcoming release of their debut EP, scheduled for October 2025.
