The Dreaming Spires
Plus very special guests, Steady Habits and Shaun Belcher.

Grab tickets now for the first date of the tour celebrating the release of their new album Normal Town, released by Clubhouse Records.

The Dreaming Spires are a popular British band best known for their distinctive harmonies, roots-infused sound and Americana-tinged indie rock. Brothers Robin and Joe Bennett formed the early 2000s Oxfordshire indie band Goldrush, who signed to Virgin Records. Over the last decade, they have toured the world as part of Saint Etienne's live band and the award-winning Bennett Wilson Poole. Jamie Dawson drums for touring US artists such as Annie Keating and Carter Sampson, while Tom Collison also plays keys in Danny & the Champions of the World. Nick Fowler is band member of choice for the likes of Gaz Coombes and Peter Buck.

Steady Habits

A flair for alt-country sounds, melodic pop-hooks, and a voice that can blast it to the back of the room, Steady Habits is centred around the lyrical narrative of New-England native, Sean C. Duggan. Holding a place in "the youthful side of Americana" [Country Queer], Duggan's songwriting is poignant, with a sensitivity and grit that is reminiscent of artists like Jason Isbell, Dawes & BJ Barnham [American Aquarium].

Pinned as one of the UK's 'Best of UK Country & Americana' [Holler], Steady Habits has performed across the UK & Internationally, supporting artists such as The Hanging Stars, Our Man in the Field, Morganway & Demi Marriner and have performed at a number of of high-profile festivals such as The AMA UK Conference, Black Deer, Truck Festival & the Long Road Festival . Sean was featured as a finalist for Holler's song writing competition for 'Deviate', a joyful and semi-autobiographical song about his upbringing as a young queer kid in the US.

Also joining the show will be poet and artist Shaun Belcher, reading from his ‘Thames Valley Texas’ poetry collection – all about subjects within 5 miles of Didcot. A former resident of the town - now resident in Nottingham - Shaun designed the artwork and took the cover photo used for the Normal Town album back in 2010, before the cooling towers fell. He also has his own musical alter ego, Trailer Star, and ran an early alt.country/americana webzine, Flyinshoes way back at the end of the 90s.
