Event information
LIAM FARRELLY - Liam Farrelly is a 21-year-old up-and-coming Scottish comedian from Paisley, who started performing stand-up aged 17 whilst still in High School and who immediately went into comedy full-time after graduating.
A meteoric rise through the ranks has seen him nominated for and winning a raft of awards, have a guest acting role on BBC Scotland’s Scot Squad (S4E2, 2018) and perform at the UK’s best and most prestigious comedy clubs, including Scotland’s The Stand, Monkey Barrel, Liverpool’s Hot Water Comedy Club and both the London and Manchester Comedy Stores—all barely a year after first setting foot on a stage.
2021 WINNER Frog and Bucket’s World Series Comedy Competition
SAMANTHA DAY - Samantha is the sassy, stand-up mum of six Millennials/Gen Zers. Her comedy career kicked off about six years ago, after three decades as an accountant and single mum. Now she's been freed from the city, she's really hit her stride, as a truly original act who's progressing fast on the circuit.
Last year, Samantha's sold-out Edinburgh Fringe show, "The Booby Trap" (which, as the title suggests, is all about boobs) was nominated for the prestigious Amused Moose Award. And the year before that, she won New Comedian of the Year at the Southport Comedy Festival.
"When I told my kids that I'd got into the final they said they were "shook", that their minds were "literally blown" and that they were "done with me flipping their pancakes". I'm pleased that I've made them so proud."
According to her kids: "If her current material is some kind of attempt not to embarrass herself and us, then she's totally whiffed it. It's a dumpster fire."
ANDREW BIRD - Andrew has been tour support for Rhod Gilbert, Rob Brydon and Michael McIntyre at venues including Wembley and the O2. His writing work includes Jon Richardson’s Ultimate Worrier (Dave), 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (Channel 4) and Lee Mack’s Duck Quacks Don’t Echo (Sky).
MC HAYLEY ELLIS - is a former regular sight gag contributor for the “Russell Howard's Good News” show and has appeared on MTV’s, “Why aye love Geordie Shore” and “Comedy Set Lists” for Virgin television. She can also sometimes be heard on Absolute Radio and her sketches and jokes have appeared on Newsjack (Radio 4).
