Event information
A Friday night with Tiger Moth at Jamboree, playing a wild mix of world Gypsy folk punk, ranging from Balkan, Middle Eastern and Hispanic to Swing, often at dizzying speed - a bass and horn-driven blast of brilliant madness!
The band take a range of music from across the world and set it to lyrics that teach you about a heroic Soviet submarine commander, the biomechanics of a hummingbird and a detailed explanation as to why we get red skies.
In support is Spanner Jazz Punks and Spanner Big Band leader Dan Spanner, tonight playing with his trio. Expect psychedelic modal improvisations over rocky dance grooves, and unique punk trance with heavily affected sax and ‘out there’ poetry.
Jamboree food option: Our ‘Zer’ kitchen is open from 5pm serving delicious Middle Eastern fusion food for you to enjoy a pre-gig meal/snack if you wish!
