Event information
With roots in both England and Scotland and spending part of his early career touring across the USA; Chris Quinn's own songs are heavily influenced by British, Celtic and American traditional music. Live you can also expect masterful finger-style delta blues, bluegrass and swinging jazz guitar and some of the finest acoustic guitar playing you've ever heard!
When not playing solo, Chris regularly performs with some of the world's most celebrated guitarists: Stochelo Rosenberg, Clive Carroll, John Doyle and Robin Nolan to name a few.
Also a passionate educator, Chris regularly host's pre concert workshops and masterclasses as well as regular residential retreats. The Guardian recently wrote "Acoustic guitar player Chris Quinn has, for the past decade, been transforming Shrewsbury into the UK’s hub for roots music, with retreats focusing on folk, delta blues and Gypsy jazz..."
