Event information

Zopp:

Zopp are a British act whose music spans jazz-rock, ambient, folk, psychedelic rock and endless heaps of prog, particularly of the Canterbury variety. Expect gloriously intricate, intense fuzzed organ heavy compositions, reminiscent of Soft Machine, Frank Zappa, and Egg. The band are breathing new life into the progressive genre, with two internationally critically acclaimed, award-winning* studio albums to date. Sid Smith, writer for Prog Magazine and biographer for King Crimson, announced Zopp’s latest record ‘Dominion’ as his ‘favourite album of 2023’.

Don't miss this epic performance from England's most exciting new progressive rock group.
*Progarchives.com Collaborators' Album of the Year.

Their Line-up is Ryan Stevenson (Keyboards/Vocals), Andrea Moneta (Drums), Ashley Raynor (Bass), Richard Lucas (Guitar/Backing Vocals) & Myles Noble (Tenor Saxophone/Keyboard).

Guranfoe:

Guranfoe is a four-piece rock band formed in Norwich, England in 2012 whose music fuses psychedelic boogie with progressive rock intricacy. These styles combine with years of cohesive group playing to produce a live show defined by energetic medleys, stellar musicianship, intense musical improvisation and extended jams.

Needlepoint:

Needlepoint is a quartet with Bjørn Klakegg (Guitar/Vocal), Erlend Slettevoll (Fender Rhodes ), Nikolai Hængsle (Bass) and Ola Øverby(Drums). They have released four albums; “The Woods Are Not What They Seem” (2010), “Outside the Screen" (2012), “Aimless Mary" (2015) "The Diary Of Robert Reverie" (2018) "Walking Up That Valley (2021)

Needlepoint released their new album “Remnants of Light" October 2024. This is their seventh album since their debut record came out in 2010. The band started as a purely instrumental orchestra, but through the last four studio recordings - including this one - the vocals have taken on an increasingly prominent role.

Many of the band's listeners classify Needlepoint's music as prog rock and often mention Robert Wyatt, Syd Barrett, Caravan, Camel, King Crimson and Yes to describe the band's musical style, which the band is comfortable with.

In a stream of lively keyboard playing, swirling drumming, overwhelming bass lines and distinctive guitar playing, Klakegg's melodious song lines find their place, with stories from somewhere between fantasy and reality. Anyway, Needlepoint still sounds like only Needlepoint does.
