Event information
Peter Long’s main instruments are the clarinet and the saxes, with which he has toured Europe and the USA. He also sings and has a great sense of humour.
For five years he played with and arranged music for The Jools Holland Rhythm and Blues Orchestra. For several years he played music for West End Shows. He has played on many hit records and arranged music for many top singers including Paul McCartney. He has accompanied many stars including Georgie Fame, Tom Jones, Lionel Ritchie, Soloman Burke, Lulu and so many more. Today he mainly works as a band leader and orchestrator.
In 2018 his album The Jazz Planets was The Times’ “Must have jazz CD of the year”.
