Event information

Bask in the soft glow of candlelight and be transported by an unforgettable evening of piano brilliance in the spellbinding surroundings of St Mary le Strand — an 18th-century Baroque jewel nestled in the heart of London. This breathtaking church offers a uniquely intimate setting that amplifies the emotional power of every note.

Renowned British pianist Martin Cousin, hailed as one of the finest pianists of his generation, presents a stunning programme that spans the elegance of the classical era to the fiery expression of romanticism — culminating in George Gershwin’s iconic Rhapsody in Blue. This groundbreaking work, with its sweeping melodies and jazz-infused rhythms, remains one of the most exhilarating pieces ever written for the piano.

From the brooding drama of Rachmaninov’s Prelude in C-sharp minor to the shimmering poetry of Debussy’s Clair de lune, this rich and varied programme offers something for both seasoned classical music lovers and curious newcomers alike. Let the music sweep you away in one of London’s most atmospheric concert venues—and continue your evening just steps away at one of the many exceptional restaurants and bars in nearby.
