Event information
Ryan O’Reilly’s musical journey began with open-mic nights at The Railway and then in Toronto, followed by poetry studies in Dublin and street performances on London’s Portobello Road. Videos of Ryan and Tali Trow busking on Portobello Road quickly went viral, earning them a devoted following and fan-organized tours across Europe, particularly in Germany. This momentum led to headlining shows and a European tour of medieval churches.
His debut album, The Northern Line, captures the experience of spending your twenties in London. The album was released on a label founded by a Qatari princess, who discovered Ryan while he was busking and later invited his band to perform in Doha. His third album, Other Plans, was written in Berlin during the pandemic and recorded at Chale Abbey on the Isle of Wight. After being discovered by writer and show-runner Christopher Moynihan (A Mighty Wind), Ryan signed with L.A. based production company Bicycle Path. The album was produced by longtime collaborators Spencer Cullum and David Granshaw.
While in Los Angeles, Ryan worked with composer Blair Mowat on original music for TV series such as After The Flood, McDonald & Dodds, and Dr. Jekyll starring Eddie Izzard. He has performed live with Tali Trow alongside Tony Award-winner Anaïs Mitchell, and toured Europe with Lissie and Matthew and the Atlas. Ryan has also co-written songs with artists including Amistat, Hayley Reardon, and Flyte. In addition to performing and writing, he lectures in Songwriting at BIMM University in Berlin.
Tali Trow is a producer, musician, and writer with over 30 years of global performance experience. From his early days as a chorister singing for the Pope to sharing stages with legends like The Rolling Stones and, more recently, Bonnie Raitt. Recently, he has reconnected with his own artistic voice, supported by the musicians who first inspired him. His latest album has been praised as a “treasure trove of good songwriting and musicianship,” with listeners captivated by the “sublime clarity and warm timbre” of his voice. Trow’s storytelling, lyricism, and vocal skills continue to bring joy to audiences.
THIS IS A HOUSE CONCERT WITH NO ALCOHOL LICENCE.
