Giulio Erasmus & The End of the Worm
Giulio Erasmus was a member of D.U.D.S, Handle, and released his first solo outing, Re-Adjustment, in 2021. His second album, called Second Attempt, was released to acclaim in 2024 and hailed as an extremely modern take on the possibilities of underground pop through the extended ripples of soundsystem culture. Erasmus plays with time, space, era, and the words that weave it all together. He taps into 80s counterculture sonic experiment as a universal musical language that allows for futurism and fragmentation, reversing narrative logic and the transmission of musical ideas.

YEXXEN
Hailing individually from Buenos Aires, Toronto and Leeds, but formed and operating in Berlin's hectic experimental underground, YEXXEN is a supergroup of sorts: featuring Bobby Glew (Guttersnipe, Nape Neck) on drums/electronics/vocals, Claire Nico (Cuntroaches) on lap-steel guitar/vocals, Sofia Salvo (collabs with Keiji Haino, Colin Webster, Aidan Baker) on baritone saxophone and expanded strings player, Guido Kohn (Las Migrañas) on bass/electronics. YEXXEN’s dialogue rides the tension between self-taught and classically trained musicianship, a strange melding of noise, jazz improvisation and punk music. Each performance follows a loose set of parameters, where the band enters different zones instigated by imperceptible cues. The result is raucous and intense, but at times gentle and otherworldly—dense from start to finish and interspersed with abstract vocalisations. YEXXEN debuted as part of A L'ARME! Festival for Avant-Garde Jazz & Vibrant Experimental Music in its last edition in 2024.
