Step into the tranquil glow of candlelight and enjoy a spellbinding evening of classical music in the stunning surroundings of Winchester Cathedral.
The evening begins with Grieg's iconic work, the Piano Concerto in A Minor, this much-loved concerto showcases Grieg at his most commanding and expressive. Following, two more of Grieg's most popular works, Morning from Peer Gynt and In the Hall of the Mountain King, providing a dramatic conclusion to the first half.
The second half continues with the deeply emotional and enduringly popular Second Piano Concerto by Rachmaninov. Overflowing with lush romantic melodies and dramatic intensity, it remains one of the most beloved works in the repertoire—performed here by celebrated pianist Warren Mailley-Smith.
