Soho is well known as a bohemian, artistic and youth culture petri-dish yet, parallel to all that, it’s always had a flourishing criminal scene, sometimes in cahoots with the Metropolitan Police. This tour looks at the major Soho dodgepots of the last century as well as the pornography mob who made sure Soho kept it's sleazy reputation up to the present day.


Aidan McManus is an historian, Soho tour guide and radio presenter. When he was a teenager in the late 1970s, his interest in Soho wrong ’uns was piqued by the experience of working in Soho sex shops/porn cinemas and strip clubs for people such as Paul Raymond, Bernie Silver, David Sullivan and Ronnie Knight.
