🛸 AB EXTRA FEST 2025
📍 Saturday, September 20th – New River Studios, London

Ab Extra returns this September with a full day of underground gems, rare performances, and a strong spotlight on fierce feminine presence. As always, we're bringing sounds from across borders and giving space to what moves us — emotionally, physically, and politically.

This year, we’re thrilled to present Tercer Sol (Spain), fresh from their Primavera Sound 2024 appearance and the release of their third album. Known for their dark pop roots, this new record glows with a brighter, more expansive sound — lush, emotional, and unforgettable.

Another very special guest is Expiry, the new project from Louis Forster (The Goon Sax). After catching them live in a tiny venue back in November 2023, we couldn’t get their melodies out of our heads. Nostalgic but never naive, Expiry feels like something rare and on the cusp — bold, brilliant songwriting that deserves every bit of attention coming its way. We’re honoured to have them on the lineup.

This year also marks the return of Retrofuture — a dark synth-pop band formed in Homerton in 2015, reshaped in 2017 with a digital album and video (The Right Reaction, directed by Paco Caballer). In 2025 they reunite with a new lineup featuring members of Eel Men, Morreadoras, and Putilatex, plus Shaun Clark on drums, newly back from LA. This will be their only planned show for now, making it a very special moment.

We’ll also be joined by one of our favourite local acts: Zeropolis — two French exiles producing gloomy yet danceable electronic post-punk, with lyrics touching on burnout, work life, and modern anxiety. Formed in 2018 through the London DIY scene, their sound hits with force and depth.

We’re also excited to welcome Secrecy, a dark and tightly wound post-punk outfit we’ve been watching closely. Their sound is raw, intense, and perfectly in tune with the Ab Extra atmosphere — shadowy, driven, and full of urgency.

And to close the night in true feral style, we’re bringing back the unstoppable Analogue Bad Dog - Legends of the warehouse party circuit, they're returning with a raw, gear-driven set of punishing EBM and snarling techno. Unpredictable, untamed, and never house-trained.

Morreadoras, Karl Crash, Less Than Human, and a surprise guest spinning the best punk and post-punk from Australia.

💥 This is a full-day, no-skips, total immersion celebration — DIY energy, international flavour, and real community spirit.
